Caraway potatoes baked

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1.2 kg potato(s), floury
  • 40 g butter, and some for the mold
  • 50 g bacon (breakfast bacon), thinly sliced
  • 50 g cheese (grated Allgäu mountain cheese)
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • Caraway seeds
  • Thyme

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes and cut them crosswise several times with a knife. DO NOT CUT THEM INTO SLICES! Arrange the potatoes in a buttered, ovenproof dish, brush with butter, season with salt, coarsely pepper, and sprinkle with caraway seeds, thyme, and cheese. Place the bacon into the potato cuts. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 50 minutes. Serve with iceberg lettuce and yogurt dressing as a side dish!
