Cauliflower casserole with ham

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 small head of cauliflower
  • 100 g ham
  • 1 bag(s) mozzarella, grated
  • 400 g cream cheese
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • ½ tsp, leveled salt and pepper
  • some nutmeg, freshly grated
  • some paprika powder, sweet
  • ½ bunch of spring onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

for a shallow casserole dish

Wash the cauliflower and cut into very small pieces. Finely chop the spring onions. Place half a package of mozzarella in a bowl with all the other ingredients and mix. Season to taste and adjust the seasoning if desired. Place the cauliflower in a shallow baking dish and spread the remaining cheese on top. If desired, arrange the spring onions and ham on top of the cheese. Place the casserole in a preheated oven on the middle rack at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 25 minutes. Then switch to 180°C (fan oven) and bake for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is crispy brown. Mix the casserole with broccoli or other vegetables, if desired. The ham can also be omitted.
