Homemade instant powder, a lovely gift for autumn and winter

First, make a powder from black tea, sugar, vanilla pod, and vanilla sugar. To do this, put everything together in a food processor or blender and grind to a fine powder. It should have a consistency roughly the consistency of powdered sugar. Depending on the size of the blender, this can of course be done in stages, but for better binding of the ingredients and less dust, it is a good idea to grind each part of the tea and vanilla pods with a part of the sugar. (I first ground 50g each of black tea and sugar in my food processor, then the vanilla pods with the sugar, and finally the remaining 125g of sugar.) Then, mix the powder in a bowl with the milk powder and spices. This is best done by stirring slowly with a whisk. Now pour the finished chai tea powder into sealable jars and give it to loved ones and/or enjoy it yourself. The recipe yields about 625g of powder, which is enough for around 30 cups of chai tea. Preparing the actual chai tea: Depending on your taste, add 3-4 teaspoons of the powder per cup (250 ml) to hot (but not boiling) water, let it steep briefly, and enjoy. Tip: You can optionally reduce or omit 125 g of the sugar, allowing you to sweeten the finished chai tea to your liking.
