Submarine cake, because of the sunken crumbles and cherries

Prepare a batter from flour, sugar, margarine, eggs, salt, and baking powder. Place it on a greased baking sheet or springform pan and smooth it down. Knead the crumble of sugar, butter, flour, and cocoa powder and sprinkle it on the batter. Sprinkle the cherries evenly over the batter. The cherries will sink in during baking. You can use other fruits if desired; I prefer cherries. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 190°C (375°F) for 30 minutes. After baking, brush immediately with melted butter and, once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar. The cake tastes savory and fruity, and the fruit keeps it from being dry.
