Cherry dessert with eggnog for party

Spread the love

Ingredients for 15 servings:

  • 2 jars of sour cherries, pitted, sugared, drained weight 350 g each
  • 750 g sour cream
  • 750 g cream
  • 8 packs of vanilla sugar
  • ½ bottle of egg liqueur, possibly less
  • e.g. chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

makes a large portion with relatively little work

Drain the cherries in a sieve (well!), whip the cream and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form, and mix with the sour cream. You can also add cream stabilizer to the cream, but it’s not necessary. The quantity of cherries can also be varied. Place the cherries in the bottom of a large bowl and spread the cream and sour cream mixture over the cherries. Then drizzle with the eggnog. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles. Finally, refrigerate everything. In the photo, I made a slightly smaller portion. The number of people is only an approximate figure.
