Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 750 g cherry(s), fresh
- 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp rum
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes
Prepare cling film. Wash, pit, and halve the cherries. Then weigh out 750g. Mix with 500g gelling sugar (2:1). Lightly puree the fruit. Add lemon juice. Bring to a boil in a saucepan. Skim off the foam (it tastes delicious cold on rolls). Boil the cherry jam for about 3 minutes while stirring. Immediately fill the jars. Dip the cling film into the rum and place it on the jars. Screw the lids tight and place the cherry jam on the lids for about 5 minutes. Then turn it upside down and let it cool. This amount is enough for about 3 jars of cherry jam. The calories are calculated per jar. If you eat about 20g of cherry jam per serving, that’s 40 kcal. Twist-off jars are best, as they seal airtight. Boil the jars and lids beforehand. 3 servings – 873 kcal per serving.
