Cherry jelly with bananas

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg morello cherries
  • ½ sachet of Gelfix 3:1 (12.5 g)
  • 125 g sugar
  • 3 bananas, chopped
  • 2 tbsp banana liqueur
  • 125 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wash the cherries and boil them in 1/8 liter of water for about 15 minutes until soft. Line a sieve with cheesecloth, add the cherries, and drain well. Reserving the cherry juice. Mix the gelling powder with sugar. Stir in 500 ml of cherry juice, bananas, and liqueur. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 1 minute. While still hot, pour into clean jars and seal tightly.
