Cherry soup with white wine

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar cherry(s)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 350 ml dry white wine
  • 1 cup of cream
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice
  • 2 tbsp liqueur (cherry liqueur)
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Drain the cherries and place them in a saucepan. Add the sugar and wine and bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Then remove from the heat, puree finely, and let cool. Stir in the lemon juice, cream, and cherry liqueur, and season the soup with cinnamon and sugar. Those on a calorie-conscious diet can also omit some of the sugar or replace some of the cream with milk.
