Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 chicken breasts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 small zucchini
- 6 mushrooms (more or less depending on size)
- 400 ml vegetable stock, or as needed
- ½ cup cream
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 50 minutes
for the slow cooker
Halve the chicken breast fillets in half and wrap each with a slice of bacon. Brown them on all sides in a pan. Meanwhile, thinly slice the zucchini and mushrooms and place them on the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the meat on top and add vegetable stock until completely covered. Simmer on “High” for 3 hours. After three hours, add half a cup of cream and reduce the heat to “Medium” for another half hour. This goes well with tagliatelle or rice.
