Chocolate almond cake

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 80 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 1 tbsp cognac
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g chocolate, grated
  • 5 egg whites
  • Butter & breadcrumbs for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the butter, sugar, and egg yolks until fluffy. Add the almonds, cognac, breadcrumbs, cocoa, and chocolate shavings and continue beating. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the mixture. Grease a Bundt cake pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in the chocolate batter and smooth it down. Cover with cling film and bake in the microwave or oven for 6-8 minutes. Turn out and serve warm. Eggnog sauce goes best with this.
