delicious and melt-in-the-mouth

Chop the chocolate into fairly small pieces. Melt it in a saucepan with the butter. Beat the sugar, eggs, a pinch of salt, and a few drops of vanilla essence until thick and creamy. Then stir in the chocolate-butter mixture, followed by the flour. Pour this mixture onto a baking sheet and smooth it evenly to the edges. Bake at 170°C on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Be careful not to let it get too dark, or the brownies will be dry! Remove the tray from the oven. The top of the batter should be firm and baked through, but still moveable. This means the inside is still nice and moist. And that’s exactly how brownies should be: a crumbly outer layer, yet still soft inside! Let cool on the tray for at least 30 minutes. Then cut into small pieces and dust with powdered sugar.
