Chocolate cake

Melt the chocolate and butter together, e.g. in an oven or a double boiler, and then let it cool slightly. Beat the egg whites with some of the sugar until stiff peaks form. Stir the egg yolks and the remaining sugar into the cooled chocolate mixture, mix in the flour, and fold in the stiff peaks. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a cake tin. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes. Let it cool for at least 3 hours before cutting. Sprinkle with icing sugar for decoration. This cake is extremely easy to make and tastes delicious, especially with fresh whipped cream. It rises beautifully during baking, but then settles back down a bit and remains rather flat.
