Chocolate gingerbread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 250 g milk chocolate, ground
  • 250 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g flour
  • 20 g gingerbread spice
  • 6 egg whites

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the butter and powdered sugar until very fluffy. Gradually beat in the egg yolks. Then stir in the chocolate, hazelnuts, and flour. Add the gingerbread spice. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the batter. Spread onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Once cooled, cut into cubes. Tip: Top with chocolate icing, if desired.
