Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter tea, black, strong
  • 50 g sugar
  • ¾ liter red wine
  • ¼ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with black tea

Dissolve the sugar in hot, strong black tea, add the cinnamon stick and cloves, and let it steep for 30 minutes. Then strain the tea and heat it with the red wine, add the juice of 2 oranges and 1/2 lemon, and a generous splash of rum (the amount is a matter of taste; you can also substitute it with Amaretto or Cointreau, or something similar).
