Cinnamon porridge

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 150 ml water
  • 100 ml milk, 1.5% fat
  • pinch(s) of salt
  • 1 tbsp honey or beet syrup
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • e.g. butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

without cocoa and still sweet – with valuable calcium

First, bring the milk and water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the oats, stir in a pinch of salt, and continue to simmer. After about 10 minutes, add the syrup/honey and let it thicken slightly. When the porridge has the desired consistency, add the vanilla sugar and half a teaspoon of cinnamon and mix. Serve on a plate and garnish with the remaining cinnamon and, if desired, a knob of butter. If the porridge isn’t sweet enough, add a little more sugar. Because the recipe doesn’t contain cocoa, the calcium in the milk can be fully utilized by the body and is neutralized by the addition of it. Nevertheless, it’s a delicious and very healthy dessert.
