Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 55 g sugar, fine
  • ½ pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section (roll)
  • 15 g butter, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Cut the puff pastry into 5 mm wide strips and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with butter and sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit). Twist each strip of dough into a spiral. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon and sugar and let rest in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, then cool on a wire rack. The cinnamon sticks are delicious with hot cocoa.
