Cold Dog with Banana

The perfect cold dog with banana recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Dark chocolate
  • 8 tbsp Cream
  • 300 g Soft butter
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 piece Egg yolk
  • 4 drops Vanilla extract
  • 28 piece Shortbread
  • 2 piece Bananas
  • 2 tbsp Grated almonds
  • 2 tbsp Flaked almonds
  1. For the water bath, heat a saucepan with water. Melt the chocolate in another saucepan and stir in the cream.
  2. Beat the butter, powdered sugar, egg yolks and vanilla extract until frothy. Stir the mixture into the chocolate cream and let it cool down until it is spreadable.
  3. 4 Lay out the shortbread biscuits in 3 rows side by side on a sheet of baking paper. Spread part of the chocolate mixture on top, spread another layer of shortbread on top and coat again with the chocolate mixture.
  4. Line the outer rows, the right and left, two more times with biscuits and brush, place the banana in the middle. Fold up the outer rows towards the banana and place them at an angle.
  5. Twist the foil together at both ends so that the chocolate cannot run out. Fill the cold dog from above with part of the chocolate mixture and chill overnight.
  6. On the next day, heat the remaining chocolate mixture over a water bath and distribute it on the cooled dog. Finally, sprinkle with the ground almonds and the almond flakes.
  7. Put in the fridge for another 2 hours, done! Good Appetite!
