Coleslaw with Bacon

The perfect coleslaw with bacon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Fresh white cabbage
  • 250 gr Kat ham finely diced
  • 150 ml Bianco balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 100 ml Sunflower oil
  • 50 ml Linseed oil
  1. Cut the cabbage into fine strips and sprinkle with the salt and sugar.
  2. Now knead the cut cabbage vigorously.
  3. Fry the ham until translucent in a small pan and deglaze with the vinegar, bring to the boil briefly and then spread over the cabbage.
  4. Only then add the two oils and mix.
  5. Let the lettuce soak for about an hour, it gets even better if you let it stand overnight.
