Ingredients
 

  • 0,5 White cabbage
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 0,5 tsp Caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp White wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 50 g South Tyrolean bacon or raw ham
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Quarter white cabbage, cut out the stalk and cut across into very fine strips. Add salt and knead well with your hands until the cabbage becomes tender. Let it steep for about an hour. Now mix with the pepper from the mill, the caraway seeds, the vinegar and oil.
  • Cut the bacon into fine strips and let it brown lightly in the pan without any fat. Stir into the cabbage while still hot. Let it go again.
