Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

for the cake pop baking pan or the cake pop maker, makes approx. 20 pieces

The recipe yields approximately 20 cake pops, depending on the baking pan. A cake pop baking pan is required. Combine all the ingredients for the batter in a bowl, mix, and pour into a cake pop pan. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes (use a toothpick to test if it’s cooked through). Remove from the pan and let cool. Form small balls of marzipan into eyes. Mix powdered sugar with blue food coloring and a little water until sticky. Color the coconut flakes with the food coloring, too. Add a little water if necessary to ensure the color is evenly distributed and easy to mix. Melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler. Place the cake pops on the sticks, first coat them with icing, and then dip them in the coconut flakes. Glue the marzipan eyes on top. This will stick by itself. For better adhesion, you can also use icing. Now use the chocolate coating to create pupils for the eyes. Finally, use a sharp knife to cut a mouth into the cake pops and insert a chocolate cookie. Tip: You don’t necessarily need a cake pop stand to dry the cake pops; you can simply fill a glass with sugar and place the cake pops in it. This holds wonderfully.
