Cookies: Almond Slices
The perfect cookies: almond slices recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Spelled flour type 630
- 100 g Ground almonds
- 120 g Raw cane sugar
- 2 packet Vanilla sugar*
- 1 pinch Clove powder
- 1 pinch Ground allspice
- 1 Knife point Cardamom
- 3 tablespoon Cream
- 175 g Butter
- 50 g Almond flakes
- Mix all dry ingredients (except for the almond flakes) and then quickly work them into a shortcrust pastry with the butter. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- Roll out the dough in portions between two layers of cling film to 2 mm, cut into a rectangle or square, spread the almond flakes on top, press them into the dough with a rolling pin and cut small squares (2 x 2 cm) or rectangles (1 , 5cm x 3 cm).
- Place the slices with the almonds facing up on a tray lined with foil or paper and bake in a preheated oven at 160 ° C for about 10 – 12 minutes.
- Let cool on the baking sheet and then place in suitable containers.
- Approx. 50 pieces that, if not hidden, will last up to five weeks.
- * Vanilla sugar is homemade. Two tablespoons correspond to the two packets here.
