Cookies: Orange and Marzipan Sticks

The perfect cookies: orange and marzipan sticks recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Flour type 550
  • 125 g Ice cold butter
  • 50 g Clarified butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 piece Egg from Helene

  • 1 tablespoon Orange sugar
  • 100 g Marzipan paste
  • 3 tablespoon Powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Orange liqueur
  1. Make a shortcrust pastry from flour, butter, lard, sugar, egg, orange sugar, orange jam and grated marzipan paste.
  2. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
  3. Line two trays with paper or foil and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  4. Roll out the dough on a little flour under a foil about 5 mm and cut into sticks with a sharp knife. Place these on the baking sheet using a pallet.
  5. I twisted small snails from part of the dough.
  6. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes until they start to take on color.
  7. In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar with the orange liqueur to a glaze and brush the hot cookies with it.
  8. When it is completely cold, remove it from the tray and store in a tin.
