Cookies: Orange and Marzipan Sticks
The perfect cookies: orange and marzipan sticks recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Flour type 550
- 125 g Ice cold butter
- 50 g Clarified butter
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 piece Egg from Helene

- 1 tablespoon Orange sugar
- 100 g Marzipan paste
- 3 tablespoon Powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoon Orange liqueur
- Make a shortcrust pastry from flour, butter, lard, sugar, egg, orange sugar, orange jam and grated marzipan paste.
- Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- Line two trays with paper or foil and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Roll out the dough on a little flour under a foil about 5 mm and cut into sticks with a sharp knife. Place these on the baking sheet using a pallet.
- I twisted small snails from part of the dough.
- Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes until they start to take on color.
- In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar with the orange liqueur to a glaze and brush the hot cookies with it.
- When it is completely cold, remove it from the tray and store in a tin.
