Crab crusts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g crab
  • 2 large spring onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 1 egg white
  • 4 slices of toast (sandwich bread)
  • 150 g sesame seeds, light
  • e.g. oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely puree the crab, spring onions, and garlic cloves in a food processor (or chop very finely), then transfer to a bowl. Mix the soy sauce, cornstarch, and egg white together and add to the crab mixture. Mix well. Spread the mixture on each slice of toast and cut each slice diagonally in half to create four small triangles. Gently press the crab toast triangles into the sesame seeds. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the toast with the crab cream facing up until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Then flip and fry with the sesame seeds facing down for another minute. Remove the toast with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and serve while still warm.
