  • 1 large pear(s), ripe and firm
  • some butter, about 1 stick

  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and slice the pear. In a saucepan, dissolve the sugar in the butter over low heat and add the pear slices. Heat gently until the pear slices are thickly coated on all sides in the butter and sugar mixture. Be careful not to overcook the pear. In the meantime, toast the bread. Spread the Gorgonzola on top and bake in a preheated oven at approx. 160°C for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is creamy and begins to melt. Then remove from the oven and spread the pear slices on top with the butter and sugar mixture. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with black pepper. Serve warm.
