Delicious apple dessert

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 2 tbsp honey, maybe more for sour apples
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon
  • some liqueur (Dornfelder) or wine
  • 1 kg apples
  • Hazelnuts, chopped
  • Raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Perfect for Christmas and cold winter days

Peel and dice the apples. Place them in a saucepan and roast or heat over high heat. Add the cinnamon and honey and mix. Deglaze with a little liqueur or wine when everything starts to steam and simmer. Then reduce until almost no liquid remains. Caution: It shouldn’t become mush. Ladle into serving bowls. Add the hazelnuts and raisins just before serving and mix. If you do this too soon, everything will have the same flavor. Tastes great with vanilla sauce. Tip: You can add a little Amaretto instead of wine or in addition to it.
