  • 300 g apples, sour
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 250 ml red wine, dry
  • 3 tbsp port wine
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 bulb(s)
  • Walnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the apples, quarter them, remove the cores, and cut them into wedges. Place them in a saucepan with 1 cinnamon stick, butter, honey, and 2 tablespoons of water. Cover and simmer the apples over low heat for about 5 minutes, then let them cool and remove the cinnamon stick. In a saucepan, bring the red wine, port wine, and sugar to a boil. Peel the pears, leaving the stems intact. Sauté the fruit in the wine mixture for about 15-20 minutes, drizzling with the wine mixture several times during the cooking time. Spoon the apple compote into four dessert bowls and place a pear on top of each. Roughly chop the walnuts, sprinkle them on top, and serve.
