Devil's Cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ cup(s) sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 ¾ cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, heaped
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 1 packet of powdered sugar
  • lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Sheet cake

Preheat oven to 160-170°C (top and bottom heat). Mix all ingredients together until a smooth, slightly firm batter forms. Spread the batter evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake the cake for about 20-25 minutes. Test the cake with a wooden skewer to see if it’s done. Let the cake cool. Mix the powdered sugar with the lemon juice until the sugar dissolves properly and the glaze is not too runny. Spread it on the cake. I always use a cup for the different ingredients. This makes it quicker and easier because you only have to dirty one cup. If you don’t want to use cups, use 300g sugar, 250g margarine, and 300g flour.
