Dill sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 30 g butter
  • 30 g flour
  • 500 ml meat broth
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash and finely chop the dill. Sauté half of the dill in melted butter. Add the flour and stir well. Pour in the meat broth while stirring, and bring to a boil. Season with salt. Whisk the egg yolk with the cream. Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the egg yolk and cream mixture. Do not let the sauce boil any longer! Add the remaining dill and serve hot. Delicious with boiled beef, boiled or steamed fish, and poached eggs.
