Dobbelsteintjes from Minced Meat
The perfect dobbelsteintjes from minced meat recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Mixed minced meat
- 1 Pc. Bun old
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 1 Pc. Onion
- Milk to soak the bread roll
- Wild garlic fresh
- Salt
- Black pepper from the mill
- Chilli red roughly chopped or from the mill
- Small note in advance, it is more about the shape of the minced meat & less about the side dishes of the dish!
- First I put the stale bread roll in milk and let it soften, peel the onions & cut into fine cubes, wash the wild garlic (comes from my little garden), dab dry and also cut finely. Fry the onions with a little butter until golden brown and allow to cool.
- Put the minced meat in a bowl, add an egg, followed by spices such as salt, black pepper from the mill, chilli from the mill, the chopped wild garlic and the cooled fried onion. Mix everything together well, cover with foil and place in the refrigerator.
- Since I decided to bring fried potatoes & a mushroom sauce on the plate, I have been busy preparing these things in the meantime. When this was done …
- 5 ….. I took the dressed minced meat out of the fridge again, took square baking tins and filled them with the minced meat. Put the oil in a pan and put the filled baking tins in the hot oil. Abundan I turned the molds so that there was an almost even browning from above and below.
- 6th little tip: … by the way. You should take as much minced meat to fill that the form is filled in one time. I didn’t do it on a previous attempt & after that they weren’t real dice anymore. They were a little out of shape.
- Another little tip: … release the Dobbelsteintjes from the shape or press them out of the shape shortly before placing them on the plate.
- I think that children in particular find it interesting when they find square meatballs, brake blocks or whatever they are called on the plate. You could also add mashed potatoes and a salad as a side dish.
