Easter nests

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 200 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ⅛ liter of oil
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the quark, milk, egg, oil, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt into a smooth dough. Sift the flour and baking powder together and add to the dough. Knead into a smooth dough. Form 16 rolls, each about 20 cm long, and twist two together into a spiral, forming a circle. Brush the 8 nests with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a hot oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) on baking paper for about 15-20 minutes. Tip: If you press an egg into the center of the nests before baking (and then remove it again!), the nests can also be used as egg cups.
