Easter Nests Made from Quark Oil Dough

The perfect easter nests made from quark oil dough recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 6 tbsp Milk
  • 6 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 150 g Quark
  1. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift into a mixing bowl.
  1. Add the remaining ingredients and use the dough hook of a hand mixer to form a dough.
  1. Shape the dough into a roll and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  1. From each piece a finger thickness of approx. 30cm. Form a long roll, bend in half and twist around each other. Shape this into a wreath and press half of an egg shell into it. Serves as a placeholder, as the pastries rise when baking 😉
  1. Place the wreaths on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush thinly with canned milk. Bake at 175 ° C for 15 minutes.
  1. After baking, remove the eggshell, let it cool down briefly and put a colored egg in each nest.
  1. I wrapped the nest in foil and gave it away at Easter, it was a great gift 🙂 Have fun!
