Whisk the egg and flour together until smooth. Then add enough milk to thicken the mixture. Let it stand for a while to swell. Heat the oil in a pan. Pour in the batter, swirling the pan gently. Fry one side until golden brown, then flip and fry the other side until golden brown. Serve immediately. Tastes great with Maggi, applesauce, or jam. It also goes well, finely chopped, as an ingredient in a clear soup. It can also be filled with quark and baked. The possibilities are endless.
