Elderberry liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 liters of juice (elderberry juice)
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ¼ liter rum, 54%
  • 500 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring elderberry juice, water, sugar, and vanilla sugar to a boil and let cool. Add the rum and bottle. The liqueur is drinkable immediately, but tastes better the longer it is stored. Adding a real vanilla pod will enhance the flavor even more. Use elderberry juice from a steam juicer, meaning you don’t need to add any water when extracting the juice.
