Elderberry-pear jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g elderberries
  • 400 g pear(s), ripe
  • 1 kg gelling sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 6 cl rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash the elderberries, drain well, and shred the skin. Peel the pears and cut into small pieces. Mix everything together and bring to a boil. Boil gently for 5 minutes, then test for settling. Stir in the rum and pour while still hot into prepared jam jars. Seal and turn upside down.
