Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg pear(s)
- 1 kg elderberries (without stems)
- ¾ kg sugar
- 2 bags of Gelfix
- some water
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Boil the elderberries with a little water. Not too much water, just don’t let them sit dry in the pot. When they’re soft, pass them through the fine-mesh food mill and squeeze the juice into a pot. Add the peeled and sliced pears. Once the pears are slightly soft, puree them with an immersion blender or pass them through the food mill. Stir in the sugar and bring to a boil. Stir in the gelatin. Once the jam has set, pour the jam into twist-off jars, seal immediately, and turn upside down for five minutes.
