Elderflowers in beer batter

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 ml beer
  • 150 g flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Elderflower umbels
  • Fat, for frying
  • powdered sugar or vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Dessert

Combine flour, oil, beer, and milk. Stir in the eggs and salt. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes. Clean the elderflower blossoms, dip them in the beer batter, let them drain slightly, and fry in the deep fryer until golden brown on both sides. Finally, sprinkle with powdered sugar or vanilla sugar.
