Endive mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes, floury
  • 1 head of endive lettuce
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar essence
  • Sugar
  • 100 ml condensed milk
  • n. B. Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Main course or side dish, vegetarian

Peel the potatoes, halve or quarter them if necessary, and boil them in salted water until tender. Meanwhile, wash the endive and cut into thin strips. Combine the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir in the condensed milk. Finely chop the onion and add it to the dressing. Season again to taste. The dressing should have a strong flavor. Mix with the salad. Drain the potatoes, add the butter, and mash. Season the mash with nutmeg. Mix the endive with the mashed potatoes on the plate. Tastes great with bratwurst or meatballs. Or simply as a main course.
