Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 10 slice(s) Leberkäse, very thinly sliced ​​(like cold cuts)
  • 10 slice(s) smoked belly
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green, diced
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
  • 10 slices of cheese (Gouda)
  • ½ onion(s), chopped
  • Mustard
  • vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly water if needed
  • Tomato paste if required

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Spread the Leberkäse slices thinly with mustard and top with a slice of Gouda cheese. Roll the Leberkäse like a roulade and wrap the smoked pork belly around the outside. Peel and chop half an onion, and sauté it in fat until translucent. Deglaze with the passata. Trim and dice the bell pepper, and add it. Add the Leberkäse rolls and season to taste – if necessary, thin the sauce with water and tomato paste. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C – 180°C for approximately 35 – 40 minutes. Rice goes well with this dish.
