Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg fennel
- 200 g cheese (Gruyere)
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Trim the fennel bulbs and slice them thickly. Boil them in salted water until almost tender. Drain. Cut the cheese into thin slices. Butter a baking dish and place a layer of fennel slices in it. Cover with cheese slices. Continue until all the fennel is used up. Finish with cheese. Sprinkle with butter, salt, and nutmeg. Bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
