Fiery spaghetti salad

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • Salt
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 500 g meat sausage
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 250 ml sweet and sour sauce (Asian)
  • 5 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Sugar
  • ½ tsp sambal oelek
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ bunch parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 38 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water for about 8 minutes. Drain and let cool. Trim and wash the tomatoes, cut into wedges, and deseed if necessary. Skin the sausage and cut into strips. Trim and wash the iceberg lettuce, and cut into thin strips. Mix the Asian sauce and vinegar. Whisk in the oil. Season to taste with salt, sugar, sambal oelek, and soy sauce. Mix with the prepared salad ingredients, let stand briefly, and season again to taste. Wash and finely chop the parsley and sprinkle over the salad. Serve with a cold beer.
