Flour pot

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 30 g yeast (1 cube)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 800 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ liter of milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

also called buffer

Heat 4 tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar, then add the yeast, crumble it, and mix everything together until you have a smooth soup. Then set it in the corner, covered with a towel. Then put the flour in a bowl, then mix the eggs with half a liter of milk and add that too. When the yeast has risen a bit, add it to the flour and mix everything together. Then cover it and let the yeast dough rise. I use a Tupperware pot, an oval one, and I put the dough in there and put it in the microwave for about 10 minutes, and then it’s done. You can also put it in the oven, but that takes 30 minutes at 180°C. Or you can put the dough in a towel, take a large pot, fill it with a little water, hang the towel with the dough in it, and let it cook for an hour, but don’t let it sit in the water. Served with vanilla sauce and pears. Delicious!
