Flowers Toast Hawaii Special with smoked pork

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of toast
  • 4 slices of pineapple
  • 4 slice(s) Kasseler , cold cuts, thick slices
  • 4 tsp remoulade
  • 8 slices of processed cheese (Chester), or Gouda, medium-aged
  • possibly parsley, for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 8 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven (electric oven: 225°C / fan: 200°C / gas mark 4). Toast the slices of bread until golden brown. Drain the pineapple slices well. Spread each slice of toasted bread with 1 teaspoon of remoulade and top each with 1 slice of smoked pork, 1 pineapple ring, and 2 slices of cheese. Place the Hawaiian toasts on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes, until the cheese is melted golden brown. Arrange on 4 plates and garnish with parsley. Serve immediately. Serve with a green salad.
