Fred's American Burger Low Carb

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 6 slices of processed cheese
  • 2 small vine tomatoes
  • 4 medium-sized gherkins
  • 2 handfuls of fried onions
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 handful of breadcrumbs
  • Spice(s) to taste
  • Ketchup or hamburger sauce, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

First, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, and egg, and season the mixture to taste. Next, spread the meat mixture out in an ovenproof dish, making sure it’s about 2-2.5 cm thick. You can also add hamburger sauce or ketchup, if desired. Now, thinly slice the tomatoes and cucumbers and arrange everything, along with the fried onions, on the giant patty. And that’s almost done! Now, bake the dish in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 20 minutes. Then, sprinkle the cheese over the meat, and return the dish to the oven for another 20 minutes. This recipe tastes like a delicious burger without the “bad white bread” and is also low-carb.
