Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 slice(s) toast bread, thick
- 2 slices of Parma ham
- 100 g sheep’s cheese
- 1 egg(s)
- 2 pinches of black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 pinch(s) sweet paprika powder
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp clarified butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Cut a pocket into approximately 2 cm thick slices of toast or white bread and place the Parma ham into it. Crumble the feta cheese and blend with the egg, paprika, and pepper using a hand blender. Place the filled slices of bread in the egg and feta cheese mixture, allowing them to soak up the liquid on both sides. Coat in breadcrumbs, cut in half diagonally, and fry slowly on both sides in a pan in hot clarified butter until light brown. A coleslaw pairs well with this.
