French toast with milk rolls

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 jar morello cherries
  • 1 tbsp pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Cinnamon powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 4 rolls (milk rolls)
  • 2 tbsp butter

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Drain the cherries and collect the juice. Bring 200 ml of the juice to a boil in a saucepan. Combine the vanilla pudding mix with 2 tablespoons of cherry juice and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar and add to the boiling cherry juice. Stir. Add the drained cherries and remove the pan from the heat. Now mix together the milk, eggs, vanilla sugar, and the remaining sugar. Halve the milk rolls and dip them in the egg mixture. Fry the rolls in a hot pan with butter until golden brown. Serve the morello cherries as a side dish (sauce).
