a recipe from the USA
First, spread two slices of toast with peanut butter (preferably as much as you like, but not too much, as it will run too much in the pan) and place an unbuttered slice of toast on top. Next, whisk the egg with a splash of milk and toss the peanut butter toast in the butter. Then fry them in butter on both sides until they are a nice golden brown. Place them on a plate and drizzle with as much maple syrup as you like. You can, of course, use other syrups or even jam, but it still tastes best with maple syrup. In the USA, it is a breakfast item, just like eggs are here. However, you can eat it any time of day or night, as it is really delicious and very filling.
