Fried Herring

The perfect fried herring recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 tbsp Curry powder
  • 2 tbsp Strength
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter
  • 4 tbsp Sour cream
  • 0,5 bunch Chives
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  1. Mix the starch with the curry powder.
  2. Roll the matjes in it.
  3. Fry the matjes in clarified butter in a pan for 1 minute on each side.
  4. Drain on kitchen paper.
  5. In the meantime, mix the sour cream with the other ingredients and season to taste.
  6. Serve with jacket potatoes.
  7. Tastes really delicious !!!!
