Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 tbsp soy sauce, sweet (e.g. Indonesian Ketjap Manis)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- ½ tsp pepper, freshly ground
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes
for about 500 g of meat
Mix the soy sauce with olive oil, ketchup, and vinegar. Add the garlic and pepper and stir in. Pour the marinade over the meat and let it marinate for 3-4 hours, turning occasionally. The marinade is great for grilling, but I also often use it for pan-frying. The marinade is enough for about 500g of meat. The soy sauce makes the meat beautifully tender. It tastes great with pork or turkey schnitzels or minute steaks! For parties or cold platters, the meat is cut into bite-sized pieces, marinated, and fried. Skewered on toothpicks, it also tastes great cold as finger food.
