to strengthen the immune system

Wash the ginger and lemons. Cut the ginger, including the peel, into small pieces and puree. Halve the lemons. Bring the ginger and lemons to a boil in the water. Simmer everything over medium heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Then let it cool to about 30/40°C and squeeze the lemons. Pour the lemon juice back in. Strain everything through a sieve or cloth. Stir in the honey. If the honey is cooked with the mixture, it loses its vitamins and healing properties. Bottle and let cool for at least 1 day. The shot will keep for at least 5 to 8 weeks or longer if stored in a cool, dry place. Drinking 2 cl once or twice a day can strengthen the immune system. Due to its spiciness, the shot is not suitable for children. Tip: Pour warm into brown cream bottles and screw on the lid. As it cools, the lid will shrink back in, creating a vacuum inside. Brown glass bottles are best for protection from light. The brown glass absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation and protects against light.
