Gingerbread waffles with cinnamon cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 75 g butter, soft
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g cream
  • 200 g double cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

For the waffles, cream the butter and eggs until creamy, then add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and gingerbread spice and mix well. Then, in a separate bowl, combine the flour with the baking powder and stir into the remaining batter along with the cream. Heat and grease a waffle iron. Bake the waffles until golden brown. For the cream, combine the cream cheese with the milk. Then add the sugar and cinnamon. If you like, you can sprinkle the waffles with toasted flaked almonds later. (It tastes even better 🙂 )
